Obituary of Vernon John Veysey

It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Vernon John Veysey announce his passing on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Saint  John, NB. Born in Bloomfield, NB, on January 27, 1941, he was a son of the late  John and Mary (Kennedy) Veysey. 

Vernon will live on in the hearts of his brothers: George Veysey of Saskatchewan and Douglas Veysey (Cathy), of Ontario; his  sisters: Mary Wideman of New Brunswick and Helen Burnett (Frank) of Ontario; his daughter, Shari Veysey of New Brunswick; his stepsons: Bob Adair (Sylvia) of  Bloomfield, NB, Maurice Adair (Barb) of Bloomfield, and Ronald Adair of  Bloomfield, NB; and his several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Vernon is also survived by his cousin Heather Masson of Saint John as well as  several nieces and nephews and his extended family. 

Besides his parents, Vernon was predeceased by his wife Anne; his brother,  Arthur; his sisters: Noreen and Marguerite; and his sister-in-law, Ruby. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside  Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where a visitation will be held on Tuesday,  May 14 from 6-8pm. A celebration of Vernon’s life will be held from Christ Church  Anglican, Bloomfield on Wednesday, May 15 at 2:00pm. 

Donations in memory of Vernon may be made to Christ Church (Bloomfield), Romero House (Saint John), or a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences  to the family and donations may be made through wallacefuneralhome.com
