Sorry to hear about Beryl’s passing. I will always remember Beryl with a smile on her face, a great sense humour, ultimate girly girl and a very kind and thoughtful person. Her home was always immaculate, organized and welcoming. She loved fashion, had perfect hair and always dressed pretty. Beryl was a very good cook and if you liked something Beryl made, it would be there for you when she knew you were coming. A wonderful person, mother and wife.

Sorry we just heard about Beryle’s death so weren’t at her Funeral on Friday - our thoughts are with you at this time-
Beryle’s husband and His sister Violet were classmates with me in 1950 at Sussex High After living in other places for 40 years we retired back home in Sussex and we became friends again working with the Liberal Association
Beryls will be missed with her smile and always willingness to do more than her share.

Our great grandmothers were Mercer sisters, Emma Jane and Mary Ann, both of whom married Stackhouse cousins. Miles of history separated us but we connected in late years and caught up. I will miss our chats during grocery shopping as we seemed to be destined to be there at the same time of day. Beryle did not miss an afternoon with her sister, Bernice, at the Kiwanis, after she took ill and could not be at home. Beryle just quietly slipped away with her memories of times that were happier.

To Beryl's family, Beryl had been in my thoughts lately as I knew she was just about due for her color. I have been doing her hair for a couple of years now, which enabled me to get to know her. What a vibrant kind woman. Always feeding me and having a pot of tea ready. I was pleased to see her at BRHS graduation, and doubly pleased to present my prize to her grannd daughter Alex. Difficult to lose her so quick but sometimes a blessing. Our Mom just slept away in the nite which we know she would have wanted. But their going leaves a large hole in one's life. My favorite time with Beryl is sitting in her sunroom listening to her play the piano, he hands would fly across that keyboard it was beautiful. And would talk endlessly about flowers. Then she would open her refrigerator door and bring out enough food to feed an army. And endless pots of tea. You would not leave her house hungry. I loved her very much, and soon to be daughter in law.

I remember when I was maybe 10 years old, spending the afternoon with Auntie Beryle, Auntie Winn, Auntie Bee, Auntie Leona and Nanan(Yvonne), all of us singing " the crazy days of summer! Beryle, my neighbor, and what a wonderful fun and thoughtful friend. I always admired Beryle for how deeply she cared for anyone who was in need, even the ducks behind her house. She went out of her way to make sure everyone was cared for, giving many hours of her own time to help out. Family was so important to Beryle. She always had lots of food in the house for when they came to visit. To the family, may God give you peace as you remember how well Beryl lived her life and how much she loved you.

She loved music and she was at the Kiwanis last week with her sister listening to some songs and always asked for Paper Rosie. I will certainly miss seeing her there and doing some of the tunes she liked.. I often tried to get her to sing as I knew she had a great voice and could sing. RIP Beryl. Randy
