My condolences to Stan's family. Stan and I worked many jobs together over the past 20 years throughout the Maritimes, with many laughs, and good memories.
I also have fond memories of our multiple bike rides, Stan would take me on some very interesting and scenic rides, that would include an occasional beer at the end .
Stan was always there for you if you needed him. He was a good friend with a kind heart and will truly be missed.
RIP Old Friend

Family and friends
I'm sorry to be reading of Stan's passing. I worked with him on the Canadian ski patrol at Poley Mt. He was a kind and caring man who gave back to his community. He took his responsibilities seriously. He had a great sense of humour. He was a man you could count on to be there in your time of need. My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Stan. I will miss our chance encounters and conversations. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time

My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Stan. I didn't get to know him as long as some of his other co workers at Poley but I'm grateful for the time I had to know him.
We will miss seeing him making rounds around the lodge and getting the chance to listen to all his stories.
My favorite memory was at the Staff Christmas Party when all the servers dressed as " Stan the Man ".
We will miss you Stan, rest peacfully.

I'm still in shock of it all. It feels like it was yesterday I was helping him and my dad with the shed tear down...or bugging him for the amazing biscuits he made . I think it was nanny's recipe. he will be missed dearly by all the lives he touched

What a shock to hear of Stan's passing. My husband, Gary, spent many years with the Poley Ski patrol in the 70s, 80s and 90s with Stan and always appreciated his dedication and knowledge of the first aid requirements of the job. Stan's presence at Poley will be missed. He was like a permanent fixture there and we all appreciated his commitment to the hill and his vast amount of experience in, especially, first aid. Rest in peace, Stan!
