Obituary of Arnold Belding
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Arnold Charles Belding announce his passing at the Sussex Health Centre on August 28, 2024 at the age of 75.
Born in Pleasant Ridge on June 18, 1949; he was the son of the late Vernon and Helen (Craft) Belding.
Arnold was a hard-working man who never sat idle. He worked in the woods, thinning for years but had an unending love and appreciation of the outdoors. Whether it was hunting, fishing, four wheeling or even drives, he was in his element. He also never turned down a game of cards.
He had a deep love of family and the life he built with Rona; he was very proud of his children and grandchildren, and he loved spending time with them; Amelia was Grampy’s girl and quality time with Alan and Shane doing “guy stuff” was always a huge highlight for him.
He will live on in the hearts of his loving wife, Rona Craig; his children: Donald Belding and his wife Majeedah of Ontario, Samuel Belding and his wife Claire of Ontario, Janet Fanjoy and her husband Brad of Fredericton and Adam Craig of Oromocto; his brothers: Daryl Belding (Elsie) of Knightville; Calvin Belding (Kathy) of Sussex, Michael Belding of Saint John and Malcolm Belding of St. Martins; his sister: Brenda Gillespie of Grand Bay; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his stepson, Larry Craig; his brother, Douglas Belding and by his sisters: Verna Delong and Evelyn Raymond.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 11:00am from Wesley United Cemetery, Berwick.
