Dianne and girls and families,
I hold you all in my heart with love and hugs. "Carl and Lester had sooooooo many conversations,,,,,, of course always about cars, trucks, parts, pieces, engines and building something.
If Carl needed a piece or a part he would say, "I'm going to run up to Lesters for a minute"......and if I was lucky......he would be back in a couple of hours. :-) ...and the same applied when Lester popped in, "just for a minute".
I've never seen 2 men be able to talk for so long........and people say women talk alot.
We were Blessed to call Lester friend and I'm sure they are having a great conversation now as they enjoy Heavens beauty.
God will hold you....God will carry you....and God will keep you strong..
Lesters legacy will live on in all of you.
A friend for life,
Debbie Dell and family.

It is with profound sadness that I learned of and read of Lester's passing. He was an icon of Sussex Corner. He reclaimed, repurposed, reused and recycled before it was cool and make no mistake Lester Anderson was cool !!. His obituary spoke volumes to the man he was known to be to most if not all. There was never a time in decade's of knowing Lester that I met him without a smile on his face and humour on his mind. I enjoyed every conversation that I ever had with him and walked away with a little more sunshine in my day. He will be missed by many including myself. We grieve with you. Our thoughts and prayers are with during this difficult time. RIP Lester

Dianne and Family!
I am in shock to hear this terrible news! Jackie and I were just talking to him last summer in front of his shop. We were talking about how well we felt at our age and how we both had similar drug regimes. It seems like such a short time Dianne since Lester, you and I graduated from high school. Lester told me in that last conversation that he kept our grade1 class photo right above his bed. That class was part of the fabric of our lives.I will never forget him.
Please accept our most sincere condolences!

I have to say that my heart is aching so much hearing the news about my dear friend Lester. my family moved to Sussex for a short time(2 years) and there we met the Anderson family. They were like my second family, Clara and Lester welcomed us with open arms. I will always remember Lester for the big smile he had for everyone and anyone, he was easy to talk to and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. The short time we lived there we witnessed the birth of their second child Sophina and Marla was only 3 but they felt like they were my girls as well because we were such a big part of them, always wanting to babysit and playing with them. I remember Lester would come in from the auto shop for lunch and we would all be there and never once did he make us feel like it was time to go home to our own family, we were always welcomed with open arms. Lester I remember the day you were getting the skudoo ready for me so I could experience what it was like to ride one becaues coming from a big city, I never experienced it. So you got it out and I remember you had to pull the rip cord to get it started and I was so excited and when you pulled on it, I was too close and you knocked me out, hahahaha we laughed about that for a long time then we sort of lost touch and 50 years later I came to Sussex for a visited and said I am not leaving without seeing my second family, I went to Lesters shop with my daughter and good friend and he walked out towards me, smiling as usual and I said Hi, he said Hi back and I asked if he remembered who I was and he said a few names but come on 50 years later, so my friend Bryant got out of the car and right away Lester said my name, we hugged and I know I had a few tears but we reminised for a bit. Lester, I will never forget you . Until we meet again my sweet friend, may you rest in peace. <3

Uncle Les. What do I write to convey what you meant to me... You were the Greatest of All Time - a true uncle G.O.A.T.
Lester was the only present uncle I've had my whole life, and the first person who shortened my name from Samantha to Sam. In grade three, I wasn't so keen about this nickname, and I remember asking my mom if she might consider naming her unborn baby, who we knew was going to be a boy, Sam. She did not, and I am now known as Sam. I guess I have Lester to thank for this.
Lester was kind, curious, funny, full of life and business tips, and always, and I mean always, happy to see me. I felt this each and every time he said, "Hi Sam". He loved my dad and my immediate family unconditionally and he demonstrated how far love can go when you really, really care. I know he also loved his family in the same way, and I give my heart and support to them during this time. Losing a man like Lester is hard.
Lester was always keen to know where I was travelling, what I did for work - he often asked, "So what is it that you do, Sam?" - and how I managed life in the big city - Toronto. He was certainly happy to welcome me back to NB and I was very fortunate to have had a few visits these past couple years.
He had a genuine interest in people, his community and the world. While he was often a quiet and unassuming person in the room/place, he was very, very present, and he had the respect of so many.
I'll miss you, Lester. And I hope to help satisfy one of your final wishes one day. Until then, enjoy being spiritually reunited with your brother and niece, and many others.
As my dad would say, bye, bye for now. Sam

Lester was a great person, and I’ll always remember how he showed such genuine interest in my life whenever I visited him when I was home. One of my favorite recent memories is of him noticing a t-shirt I was wearing that said “Mañana” (which means “tomorrow” in Spanish). When I explained it as “I’ll get to it tomorrow,” he laughed and said, “I’m going to start using that! When Diane asks me to do something, I’ll just say ‘mañana.’” I don’t know if he ever did, but I hope he got the chance—if not with her, then maybe with someone else. That moment, along with his incredible smile and unforgettable laugh, will always stay with me.
Give a hug to Dad and Natalie for me. I hope the 3 of your are catching up.

I have so many good memories of this great man. This is one that has stuck with me since I was young. I practically lived at Mechanic Lake growing up and one night I decided to sleep at our old camp by myself during a massive thunderstorm. I was just getting settled in when I heard the door fly open. At first I thought the wind blew it open, but found out it was Uncle Lester coming down to check on me. I'm pretty sure Clara made him. He jumped in the bed beside me and we talked away about numerous things. The storm started to ramp up even more, with lightning hitting all around us. Being the jokester that I always knew him to be, he said to me "There is going to be the loudest bang you'll ever hear in 10 seconds". I laid there while he counted slowly to 10. One, two, three...and the second he said ten, the loudest crack of lightning I have heard to this day hit the ground. We both jumped out of our beds and looked at each other with disbelief of what just happened. Once we clued in that we were safe, we both started laughing hysterically. I will never forget all the good times I had with you Uncle Lester. You were a great man. Say hi to Dad, Natalie, Nanny and Grampy for me. Love, Chris
