Bud was a retired equipment operator 3 with the Dept. of Transportation. He enjoyed church, snowshoeing, carpentry and was at home with nature, he could even identify most species of birds at a glance. It was always exciting to see Bud come for a visit. He loved to chat, and tell stories to the grandchildren about when he was growing up. He was known for telling great stories and loved to hear them as well. He always loved to go visit his family and old friends and reminisce about the good old days. He made everyone feel right at home when they stopped in for a visit. He enjoyed reading and collecting clippings of current events. It was so enjoyable to read all the old ones with him.
Bud loved food and never turned down a good meal. He would never turn his back on anyone; he always was there to help. He loved going to the old homestead in Poodiac taking his dog Molly along for company. Bud loved to tease Phyllis about always running the roads to go play cards or bingo. He really didn't mind though, he enjoyed the piece and quite for a few hours. Bud was a big kid at heart, he liked to dress up and spook the kids on Halloween, and at Christmas he was just like a 10 year old, he couldn't wait to open his gifts. He was a practical joker and everyone always enjoyed his humorous tricks. . Anyone who knew him would say 'there's never a boring moment when Bud was around.' He never forgot a face but couldn't always remember a name. Sometimes he would let on he couldn't hear but he always knew what was going on. He enjoyed listening to old folk music, the fiddle and playing 45's.
