Obituary of Merton Boyd
Mr. Merton Charles Boyd, of Salmon Creek, passed away at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on October 8, 2002, born in Goshen, NB on May 3, 1917, he was the son of the late Wilmont Boyd and Ida Maude (Kincade) Boyd and the beloved husband of the late Bertie (Henderson) Boyd who passed away in 2000. Merton is survived by his sons; Albert and his wife Nina of Ontario, Norman and his wife Joan, Gary and his wife Jenny, Arnold and his wife Geraldine, all of Salmon Creek, Russell of Saint John, John and his wife Karen, Michael, Mark and his wife Sherry all of Salmon Creek, 3 sisters, Eleanor Belyea of Cambridge, Lilian Noddin of New Hampshire, Flora Northrup and her husband Ern of Long Creek, a sister-in-law, Ethel Boyd of Long Creek, 15 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Merton Charles Boyd Merton was predeceased by his daughters; Gail and Yvonne and his son Lloyd, and his brother Norman. Merton served overseas during the war. He enjoyed working in the woods with his team of horses. Merton was an avid hunter. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Wednesday 2-4, 7-9. The Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Thursday, October 10, 2002 at 2:00 pm, with Scott Hoyt officiating. Interment at Coles Island Cemetery.
