Obituary of Norma Byers
On the 9th of September, we bid a heartfelt farewell to an extraordinary soul, Norma Byers, who, at the age of 89, transitioned from this world to the next. Today, we gather to celebrate a life marked by a deep faith, and compassion for others. Norma's legacy is a testament to a life rich in love, service, and creativity.
Norma was a woman of strength, grace, and love. She shared 70 years of marriage with her husband Bud. Their story serves as a testament to the power of commitment and dedication. Norma's life reminds us of the beauty in simplicity. She found joy in the everyday moments, a clean home, gardening, and the love for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her life was a testament to the idea that happiness can be found in the little things. Norma enjoyed nature, was a skilled quilter, knitter, and crocheter. She dedicated many years of her life working in nursing homes, where she offered care, compassion, and companionship to those in need.
As we remember and celebrate the life of Norma, let us honour her memory by embracing the values she held dear. Let her legacy remind us to care for others, to find beauty in the world around us, and to cherish family. Norma's faith in God was evident in every aspect of her life, and though she has left this world, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Norma will be remembered by her loving husband, Bud; her children: David Byers (Shirley), Dorothy Brown (Wally), Danny Byers (Vicky), Donna Wiggins (Scott) and Darren Byers (Anne); as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren and extended family members.
