Obituary of Don St. Pierre
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Donald Joseph St. Pierre announce his passing at home on September 25, 2023 at the age of 71.
Born in South Tilley, NB on August 13, 1952; he was the son of the late Edmund and Cecile (Martin) St. Pierre.
He was a hard working man. He worked as a woodsmen for Hazen Hawker in Coles Island for many years. He worked on the Caldwell and Ross construction crew from where he retired. His fellow crew members weren't just coworkers, they were his family and Alvin became his best friend.
Don always spoke his mind, you never had to wonder what he was thinking. He was not one to sugar coat anything, cursed alot and loved to torment anyone he could. He had a quick wit and always was ready with a joke or a smart comment. If he wasn't tormenting you, then you knew he didn't like you.
Don held many titles over his 71 years: Son, Brother, Uncle, Self proclaimed Ladies Man, Co-worker and Friend to name a few but the two most important titles to him that he would ever carry would be Dad and Pappy.
He was a simple man, he never needed much, just the love of the three most important people in his life - his girls.
He adored every moment spent with his family and his life revolved around his girls. Whether it was his daily drop offs of coffee and breakfast to Cassie or days spent with Myah and Ava. He loved every second and he was a very proud Dad and Pappy.
His granddaughters consider him the funniest person they have ever known, and his humor will live on in the souls of those two girls.
He was not only very accepting but very proud of his son-in-law and was so grateful he became a big part of his life. He knew his girls were safe with him, and that made him so happy and brought him peace.
Don fought his battle against cancer for three long years. Despite spending much of that time in and out of the hospital, he never lost his sense of humor. Throughout his entire journey, he cracked jokes with Cassie and Corey, made silly faces with Myah and Ava, and even shared light hearted jokes with the nurses. He had a great ability to make others smile and his sense of humor will be missed.
He will live on in the hearts of his daughter, Cassandra Forsythe and her husband Corey and his two granddaughters: Myah and Ava; as well as several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176). At Don's request no visitation or service will be held.
