Obituary of Philip Bernard Wells
It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Philip Wells announce his passing on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at his residence in Fredericton, NB at the age of 82 years.
Phil was born in Deer Lake, Newfoundland. He moved with his wife and family to Churchill Falls in 1976 where he resided until his retirement in 1996. Then he moved with his wife to Sussex, NB.
Phil enjoyed his years spent in Churchill Falls. He was a hard worker and had many hobbies including, photography and painting, wood craving and travelling. He loved spending time with family and friends.
He leaves to mourn, his wife of 63 years, Dorothy; his children, Rocky (Lillian), Bonnie (Lorne), and Donald; His grandchildren: Glenn, Shana (Bonnie), Christopher, Ryan (Tara); his great grandson, Noah; his sister, Irene (Max), brother in-law, Donald Kelly, and a wide circle of family and friends.
Phil was predeceased by parents Hayward and Nada (Alley) Wells of Deer Lake, Newfoundland, his siblings, Susie and Beulah, and parents-in- law, Bennett and Gertrude Gillard.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176). All arrangements will be held privately.
