Scott, Cindi, Travis and family
It's with sadness that I'm reading of John's passing. He was a customer of our's at our market in Sussex Corner since it's opening in 1988. He loved his yogurt ice cream and we always made sure to have some in stock. He was a kind man with a great sense of humour and laugh. When I experienced difficulties in business later in life he always offered words of encouragement and to not give up. I will miss; like many; seeing John around Sussex and Sussex Corner and the many chance conversations we had. He was certainly an inspiration to many. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. May he rest in peace

I was saddened to learn of the passing of John Allen. Growing up at the Corner he knew me all my life. My Mother would tell me about his Mother putting him out in the fresh air ASAP everyday and calling "John Allen" when it was time to come in. As I grew I got to know him for myself. A very caring man with a heart of gold. We both shared in the experience of pancreatitis and checked on one another's health. I will miss that beautiful smile and hearty laugh.
