It was my great blessing to be Marvel’s pastor for most of the 20-teens. It was a joy to see her in the Sunday-morning congregation on many occasions. And I savour the memories of my visits to her hospitable home.
She lived a long life — always expressing great love for her family and genuine interest and encouragement to her friends. Now that she’s been promoted to the glory of her heavenly home, Oak Court will seem a little less friendly, and Christmas Eve will seem a little less festive.
Praying God’s shalom for all Marvel’s family and friends.

I will miss being Marvel's techie troubleshooter and her Facebook Messenger chats about happenings in the neighbourhood and beyond. She loved to know what was going on and was quick to notice when anything out of the ordinary was happening around her.
