Obituary of Perry Campbell
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Perry Carson Campbell announce his passing on September 15, 2024 at the Saint John Regional Hospital at the age of 62.
Born in Saint John, NB on January 23, 1962; he was the son of Annie (Reid) Shurtliffe and the late Frank Carson Campbell. Although he currently resided in Sussex, he was formerly of Brampton, ON.
Perry was a hard-working man. Always busying himself in everything he took on. He was a jack of all trades. Spending the larger part of his time working for a printing company. He also spent several years enlisted in the armed forces.
In his younger years, he had a passion for sports; playing hockey, football and baseball and even being drafted by a semi-professional baseball team – The “Toronto Maple Leafs” at the age of 16.
Perry enjoyed reading, sports, playing pool and time spent riding his motorcycle.
He will live on in the hearts of his mother, Annie Shurtliffe of Sussex; his brother, Jeff Campbell of Sussex; his step siblings: Ron Welch and his wife Debbie, Kim Brown and her husband Dale, Bob Welch and his wife Pam, Howard Shurtliffe and his wife Laura, Theresa Shurtliffe and Mike Shurtliffe; as well as several nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Along with his father, he is predeceased by his stepfather, Howard Shurtliffe, his stepsister, Donna Welch; his maternal grandparents: Alex and Annie Reid and by his paternal grandparents: Frank and Marguerite Campbell.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176). All arrangements will be held privately.
